The Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority (EIERA) offers a range of financial and technical assistance programs to support Missouri’s communities, organizations and businesses reduce and prevent pollution and develop Missouri’s energy resources. Our current programs include:
Missouri Market Development Program – Through this program, EIERA offers financial assistance and information services to businesses, governments and other organizations for developing markets for recovered materials and recycled content products throughout Missouri.
Private Activity Bonds – These are bonds EIERA issues, in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Economic Development, on behalf of private and not-for-profit entities. The bonds provide funding for qualifying environmental, pollution prevention or energy related projects.
State Revolving Fund (SRF) – Missouri currently has two SRF programs, managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources: Clean Water State Revolving Fund and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Through these funds EIERA issues bonds for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects, manages related tax issues and monitors post-issuance compliance.
