The Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority offers a range of financial and technical assistance programs to support pollution control and prevention and energy resource development across Missouri. Our current programs include:
Private Activity Bonds: EIERA, in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Economic Development, issues private activity bonds on behalf of private entities to provide funding for qualifying energy efficiency, energy resource development and environmental (ex. drinking water, sewerage and solid waste disposal) projects.
Missouri Market Development Program: Through the Missouri Market Development Program, EIERA promotes the development of markets for recovered materials and recycled content products throughout Missouri by providing businesses, governments and other organizations with financial assistance and information services.
State Revolving Fund: EIERA issues bonds, manages related tax issues and monitors post-issuance compliance for the Department of Natural Resources’ Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds.
